Anyone know anything about this car? saw it a while back and thought it looked good, and now it's up for sale just when I'm in the market for one, any thoughts from on the mods that have been done?

By increasing TB size on NA HC cars, you can gain a few extra horses and better TB response... The plenum will be a better flowing design for the said larger TB's... basically this car will be breathing way better than standard chims... meaning - she'll be burning more fuel and probably have a quicker time to 150... maybe knock off around a whole second or two...

yep, true enough. Mind you, good looking in a picture can sometimes be misleading. I have read several stories on PH recently of too good to be true cars. And they have turned out to be.....

All quite true, but following the general pattern of prices there has been a definate drop (some of which will no doubt be recovered come next spring)

I agree. In the (TVR based) trade mumblings have been heard that the poor summer has meant a nose dive in cabrio prices. Not sure if you have noticed the same thing?
talking of 111Rs, went out in the Fish's new one last weekend and very impressive. Very impressive indeed.
Would like to think values will rise again on the TVRs next spring, dont think chims will dip much lower because of the strong residuals on the S. If chim prices dip further, I think its more than likely S prices will suffer as well. And seeing as thats the 2 TVRs parked outside my house thats a situation I would rather not see happen

i think the prices will continue to fall as the price of tuscans, t350, tamoras and creberas have all come down, this does have a knock on affect on older models, its only the griff that is stable at the moment just look in the ads lovely cars at knock down prices and soon we will be into a new year where the cars will be another year older. Good for buyers bad for sellers.
Yep agree, 'S' values will be affected by Chim values, biggest thing counting against Chim's is the sheer volumes of them around, which means folk can be very selective, if its not the 'right' colour (subjective I know, but some are definately more saleable than others), mileage (yes i know the supposed benefits on buying one thats been 'used') but 90% of buyers would prefer the lower mileage car, number of owners, service history etc etc.
If a car falls foul of any of the above then its going to have to be priced right to be sold (ie cheap).
Griffs on the other hand being much rarer seem to be holding up better (but the value of chim's will still have some effect, they will only fetch soo much of a premium over chims).
Two biggest factors effecting a used car's value are volume (supply and demand) and image.
If one or other (or both) weaken then values suffer, Audi TTs have suffered big time this year, due to a weakening image, and large amounts of used ones coming onto the market.
Biggest thing that will affect values of the 'new wave' TVR's is the maintenace 'issues', who the hell in a few years to me is going to pay £12-£15k for a Tuscan etc to be faced with a possible £6k during ownership?

This is funny, I was just aboutto post how strong the Griffith Prices are looking at the Moment.
My Insurance is due soon so have been looking to see what sort of value it is worth, I have been very surprised how much they are being Advertised for.
Ok there isnt as many about as the Chimp and are probably/maybe going to be more of Classic In the future( IMHO )

i would say they already have - you'll pay £30k for a LE last edition griff. How much for a 01 tusc? £25k?
