Just got renewed and went with Classic-Line through a broker.

They are offering normal market value, but if I want I can have agreed value by getting an evaluation form filled in by the TVRCC and submitting some photos with it.

Is this worthwhile for a Tuscan (2000) RR ?

At the moment I'm thinking not and have just said to them to go with normal Market Value policy.

what do folk think ?

go agreed value and you will
a) probably get more if it is written off
b) not have any hassles if that did occur

BUT as far as I know the TVRCC do not at present do valuations due to unresolved liability considerations.

ah. Oh well, that's knocked that on the head then.

As a relatively new car it depreciates too, so I'd probably have to get it valued every year. sounds like a pain. think I'll stick with market value

Its best to get an agreed valuation giving photographs for the reasons mentioned above. A TVR dealership can do it and most will write what you want (within reason) well worth the trip down to the dealer in my opinion.

Offord Motor Company did mine I sent off a few photos and they agreed the value, I was at Offords 5 minutes!

Just had a refreshingly good experience with my insurance claim after an accident in my 1994 Griff.

The car was insured through Footman James and was not on an "agreed value" policy, however once the DVLA had issued a new V5 (retaining the number plate) a cheque was issued within days to the value of my stated value (less excess).

That was for the value that i had given when taking out the policy. No arguments, or silly first offers.
