Does anyone know what car the tuscan alternator is off of to get a replacement? I know is a Magnetti Marelli 100amp unit, some say off of a land rover but no idea what model? Thanks.

Check out the Tuscan parts wiki at the top of the Tuscan pages.

It is a generic Lucas 100A unit - used from Chim/Griffs from 1997'ish onwards.

Thats the universal parts aftermarket one though. Also in that guide in the link on the parts page the chap fitted a diode to the loom, but I rang the company that sell them (£145 exchange btw) and they said it's a straight swap and don't need to do this??

So is the original Magneti Marelli off a v8 or tdi disco then?

Don't know what vehicle it is from - sorry.

You don't need to put a diode in the "warning-light" wire....at least not on the Tuscan (can't believe it's necessary for the other T cars either).

Racing Green/Clever Trevor and Racetech do a 'budget' replacement for about 150 quid..so similar price to Universal.
