Came home today after taking the family & the dogs dog walk to find the house had been ransacked furious
Only upside is they missed my fathers watch & the TVR's are safe although they did feel the need to take some of my race kit confused
They took our laptop which would log them in automatically to PH so just wanted to say if

So they were watching you then? Invest in some good locks, security (both active and passive), and a shotgun... Really sorry to hear that. Makes my blood boil.

Christian I really feel for you and know the emotions you have going on right now.

We were burgled last year and I still haven't relaxed properly or feel I have enough security.

Good luck with the insurance idiots. I hope for your sake you don't have to deal with LMG who are quite possibly the most uncommunicative bunch of 'professionals' I've ever come across.

Console yourself with the fact you and the family are OK. When it comes down to it that is really all that matters in life.

Best of luck.

I have remote server cameras at home which automatically trigger and record images...a good set up is only a few hundered quid and well worth the investment.
Sorry to hear of your misfortune...Lowest form of life.

fkERS!
I have never felt more angry and frustrated than when we were burgled. Unless they find finger prints that match a database the fuzz will be pretty powerless to catch the filthy little drug addicts!!
Do you recollect if there were any strange cars loitering about?
As has been said, at least family, Tivs and watch are ok.
Hope all is back to normal for you soonest.

wkers. Really sorry for you.

I am sure you are covered by insurance, but if you need a chunky discount off a new laptop, please shout.

Sorry to hear this Christian, not a nice feeling. My parents house was burgled several times and as you say it's not nice to know you're being watched and that low life scum you wouldn't even speak to to have been rummaging through your stuff.

Thanks for all the kind words everyone, the police have some prints and a footprint but unless they are on record i don't hold out to much hope!
The kicker is cameras are booked to be fitted at the end of the month as with three young kids i wanted to give the wife a bit more security for when i'm not there frown
Just wish i would of been 5 mins earlier as i reckon the dogs and i could of given them a proper welcome!

Sorry to hear the news Christian, at least the important things in your life are safe (family then TVRs). CCTV with offsite (cloud) storage is definitely the way to go now. Don't forget to change your passwords for everything (Paypal, eBay, online banking etc) just in case.

If you had any Andriod devices nicked you could "push" "Andriod Lost" to it, lots of very useful features in that including it e-mailing you to tell you where it is...along with a photo of anyone using it.

I use a wireless IP camera that detects motion and saves the video on a server in China, there's one in the garage and one in the lounge, they're quite handy when away on holiday.

Hope the insurance company are sympathetic.

Yes. Some cheepo Smart phones can now be used as a Tracker to trace it and stollen valuables including, it can be hidden on a TVR. There is an App for Apple Iphone "Where is my phone" if lost or stollen.

Sorry to hear about this Christian. I hope nothing else sentimental was taken, as its a massive invasion of your privacy, and that is sometimes harder to deal with than the missing items.
I just hope that when they catch the scum, their "privacy" is invaded by a big bloke called Leroy.
At least you and you your family are ok.

ive been thinking of getting a trap cam, some of them are camouflaged and you can hide them, they take pictures by motion sensor and cost about £200, i was going to get one for work. a little outlay for a possibly big return.
