I think this will depend upon the extent to which a 'new model' is percieved as. Its already been mentioned that if a new model is simply a change of rear light cluster or some other superficial nonsense then IMO residuals will be unaffected. However if it means NEW MODELS as in NEW and different from outgoing car than this could adversly affect residual on the outgoing car.
Either way I can't yet see the logic in the business plan thus announced. Thats why he has millions and I have'nt

I reckon the percieved problems with brand new models and the gradual improvements during the production run will take a number of years to be dispelled. I do not think that the image is strong enough for the announced strategy. Of course its good news for people like me who purchase a TVR when its of a certain age (7 - 10 years) low price for a great sports car which has been sorted.
Still if the new owner is really serious about quality, and everyone seems to think this is so, then TVR could well stand alongside the italians with head held high. (I do hope so)

I only see gradual developments such as body shells, as changing too much for each model change will cost them too much. Surely they will try and use the same basic kit for each and change as little as possible. Guess if they are making most of their own components this would be less of an issue.
I hope whatever they do it is a success.
