noisy gear box
Discussion
hi all.upon my returning trip from the day out, the gear box started to make noise of something like [running gears] every time i change the gears from 1st to 2nd to 3th to 4th and to 5th, and also the screaching noise coming from the gear stick. i've checked underneath the car this morning for any lose of oil, and the floor dry.
please any thoughts and ideas are welcome. thanks.

Are these noises occurring as you press the clutch pedal, as you release the clutch pedal, or when it is fully depressed?
It sounds a bit like the clutch is not fully releasing as you change gear, causing some drag in the gearbox. This could be due to fluid loss in the clutch hydraulics (faulty slave or master cylinder), or maybe the clutch release arm is worn.
Do you know when the clutch was last changed?

It's probably still on it's original clutch then.
I think we need more precise details of when the noise occurs - could it just be the clutch release bearing making a noise when the clutch pedal is pressed?
I assume from your profile that this is on a Tuscan. I'm know they have the T5 gearbox but I'm not sure how the clutch differs from the Griff/Chim models I'm more familiar with.
