One of my kids rumbled me today. Basically, I've got into the sad habit of fuelling up my Griff more regularly than I need to - when it's half empty for example. The pethetic and sad truth is, I like the sound of starting her up in the confines of a forecourt (where the noise echoes). Am I the saddest git around, or are there others out there who are as shallow as me?

You're not alone. I had to take my mother in law to Bath to visit her ill father, beautiful day, roof off taking the scenic route and had to fill up. The mother in law offered to pay when asked what pump number she announced loudly so all could hear
DON'T KNOW IT'S MY SON'S TVR.
Priceless.
