Car is being geo'd and set up on RR within the next few weeks and I have this overwhelming urge to put it through its paces! Any events planned in August or September?

Mark at Bespoke is organizing it if you want any further details.

There is also one at Goodwood on the 13th. Details on the club forum from memory.

I'm getting back from hols on the 10th so I'm out!

You can borrow my silencers but the logistics of getting them to you are difficult!

Chilli, not sure how much they are new but these may be worth a punt.

Peter, I am in South Derbyshire but happy travelling. I have a rolling road session on 12th and geo set up on 13th so anytime after that is good for me. Would be good to get a crowd togeather

I bought the ACT ones. Perfect fit, got my car down to 99 decibels and didn't impact on performance

Just read the sheet - looks a bit "nanny state" to me. And ten minutes at a time gets you about 3-4 laps only, by which time I am just getting interested/interesting.....and its going to be very mixed experience levels.
I fancy trying Castle Coombe, but possibly not under those conditions thank you.

...and you are one of the most charitable men it has been my good fortune to meet.

Thanks for the loan of the track silencers at Bedford - I've gone and bought some of the same now from ACT.....they make a noticeable difference to the noise levels without denting the power, and with my car decatted and more and more circuits being noise sensitive, they are an essential part of all track-dayers armoury.

It sounds like the same format as the Lotus day at Castle Combe. 'Ten minutes or so' will get you closer to 10 laps then they switch to an open pit lane. I don't know about this one but at the last Lotus day a lot of people left early and we were on the track pretty much non-stop all afternoon. Can't say for certain but don't just rule it out based on that description. Great track.

It was the "max 12 cars on the track at a time" that was the killer for me.
I agree that this might not actually be a problem - out of 40 cars at Cadwell Park last Thursday evening I actually spent 15 minutes on the track on my own later in the session, and after the first hour or so I was often one of only three or four on track, but if the Castle Coombe mob are more keen then I can see this restriction to the OPL format as being irritating, especially after a 160 miles drive to get there.
