Tuscan lights on a Chim

Currently searching for my dream machine, a 4.5 Chim, saw an awesome example, but it’s had the Tuscan light conversion by Webbs done on it. The Job IS superb and I am actually warming to it, but I can help feeling it’s a bit off line and takes away some of the pureness from a fantastic car style?

I wouldn't go for one personally - bordering on Max Power! I love those lights but where they belong - on a Tuscan! No offence to fellow PHers who've had it done of course...

(a) If you like them.
(b) If you are worried about the conversion affecting re-sale, (honestly don't know if it would).

Thanks Guys for the feed back, yes Iintend to keep the car forever(like he current owner) but you never know, so resale is a consideration. I'm told that the lighting perfrmance is terific, espeially compared to the standard - are the std lights realy that bad?

Yes the originals are that BAD. I had the conversion done on my Griffith but kept it under the Lights Fairing.
From what I Understand its Fibre Glass at the end of the day and it can be restored to the original shape pretty easily(well on mine anyhow). even with the blended in version i would imagine it wouldnt be that difficult, they can do wonders with GRP/Fibreglass nowadays.
As for resale, I wouldnt worry to much.At the price these Great cars are going for theres bound to be someone who likes the upgrade.

Same with the Cerb the difference is astounding - until the main beam went when I was driving back from picking it up

You Had lights on the 'S'

I reckon the lights on my S where on Par with the GRiffith Lights which are like a couple of Tea lights behind a pi$$ stained piece of glass.

After upgrade lights and Eye Laser treatmeant I Can see just past the end of the bonnet at night

No offence taken as far as I'm concerned - it's all about preference. When they face-lifted the Cerb from the single round lights to the twin smaller lights I thought it was a big improvement. Everyone who's seen mine has generally made positive comments - the car looking more "modern" etc. I like them anyway.

They had to be better than those on my S1 E-Type. If I had stuck a candle behind each glass it would have been more effective.

There's a fantastic looking Chim between Trowbridge and Rafstock in Somerset (I think the place is called Norton St Phillip). Anyway the Chim has the tuscan conversion and it looks absolutely fantastic in a yellow metallic.

Agree, they look good on the Cerb' - maybe it's because I think the Chimaera has such a 'Classic' look to it that I don't like them converted? -Good action shot on your profile Richard!

I think this belongs to Tom who owns Bell Hill Garage (TVR breakers) in Norton St Philip.
