I don`t think some of them realise how much they cost they put them in the same price bracket as a aston martin.

This has got to be the quote of the thread:

"If its a cerbera like the one in the pic make sure its got the ajp engine ,they are bullet proof"

Some classic comments from a Clio BBS FFS! Proof that ignorance is bliss.

Oh yes.

Entertaining it may be to existing TVR owners, but it is exactly these preconceptions & misconceptions that TVR need to be working to overcome in order to continue selling cars.

Today's petrolhead Clio Cup owner is tomorrow's T350 purchaser.

And laugh all you like, unless this reputation is improved then it's the value of your car that suffers - not their Renault.

CRAP! Whilst i agree that the reputation needs to be improved, I cannot believe that anyone who is realistically thinking of spending £25K+ on a 'specialist' performance car wouldn't check out all the exciting alternatives, they are either in that market or they aren't.

The Cleo driver of today has aspirations for the BMW of tomorrow, or even thinks the Subaru Impretza is 'the dogs', sorry to upset any Impretza owners/drivers but you're getting pretty close to BMW drivers in the Rude stakes.

I'd have a nice V6 Mid engined Cleo though please

I think the comments in that thread are generally positive.

Just sounds like some fellow car enthusiasts having a bit of banter thats all.

I think it's funny that all the positive comments are from previous TVR owners or at least those that have been in one and all the negative comments are from CHAVS LAX power boys that haven't got a clue! Says it all really..

I was going to register there just to be able to bite back - but they're not worth it!

My skin und blister has a 1 year old Renault 172 Sport, great car to drive, when it's on the road......unreliable isn't the word.......

Best comment was the one about "TVR's having the ability to stop you dead in your tracks before you've even seen it"

Am I reading this the wrong way? Seems to be a spot-on comment to me.

As most folks call the Speed 6 the...er...Speed 6...and the V8 the AJP, I'd have to say recommending the AJP was fair comment. And yes, the AJP is pretty bulletproof, as many Tuscan Challenge cars regularly prove.
