Car 77 Quallied well yesterday at Castle Combe in the GT's. We got second row ,third on the grid with a dry time of 1:10.82. All good for a wet race, had a good launch into first but as I changed up flat out into 5th gear I hit the apex white line and then this..............

Bumpy on that corner isn't it, really unsettles the car.

Hope the damage is not so bad, a real shame after a blistering start.

Real Shame - what was the cause of that quite difficult to see - lift of over steer approaching quarry or patch of oil ?

That car flies, love the sound of it too.

I never realised that Combe had such a camber on the start line wobble

Awesome start Perry
that part of the track gets bumpier each year...shame you couldn't catch it frown i'm guessing after hitting the white line you caught the bump unloading the tyres?

And it came to an end so quickly at the (iffy looking) Avon Rise sign. Soon to be Avon floppy sign.

I hope the missus forgives you now she will miss her enjoyment.

I really should stop watching Carry On movies.

Not a bad guess Hamish, I think it was operator error although I would love to blame the wet and white line. In essence it was a mix of a few things, I changed up to 5th via flat shift and I should have backed off a bit before I changed gear using flat shift as it is almost seamless power now, with the huge torque it lights up the rear easy.so in the wet hitting the white line and going over those bumps which have now become worse in my car as we were trying a different spring load and some added aero bits up front at the weekend that hardened up the front too much probably. I think they call it the perfect storm. Got stuck in today and damage is pretty light so should be up and running again by end of week.
