Throttle cable adjustment - help please
Discussion
Ok bear with me please
I have an after market throttle assembly (JE Dev xover) that essentially use the same principle as the plenum for fitting the throttle cable - threaded outer cable and two adjuster nuts to lenghten/shorten the inner cable. The outer cable is adjustable at both ends.
On checking the operation the cable is only using three quarters of the throttle on full pedal so it needs adjusting. When I lengthen the outer cable I can get the throttle to fully open but then the pedal does not reach its end stop on the pedal assembly in the footwell IFSWIM. This means if I get right foot heavy I am likely to snap the cable at some point. I am therefore assuming on full right foot the throttle should be fully open and the top of the pedal should be up against the end stop to prevent snapping the cable - is this correct?
If this is correct then I need to lengthen the end stop bolt in the pedal assembly by about an inch to have enough length. Does this sound the best way to fix it or am I missing the bleeding obvious?

If you're getting the travel you need, I'd use a longer bolt... I had to do this on the standard set up so not surprised. Well worth doing for the reason you've described... Any joy on the inlet ducting?
Thanks, longer bolt bought today for the pedal stop so I will fit that tonight.Yep, I have a contact of a guy who will knock out induction boxes for the standard nose fitting but with left and right air channel outlets so I can rig forced air over the top of the panel filters in the airboxes over the ITA's. Not fitted it yet but to be honest I have not noticed any significant issues with it as it is, I am not sure but it could be drawing air through the back of the bonnet. Tick over is fine in traffic and when its moving heat doesnt seem to be a problem. Of to Northampton Motorsport for mapping Monday and I will have a chat with them
