Prescott Hill Climb on Sunday

Had a run down from West Yorkshire to Prescott over the weekend in the Tamora but did the Bristol Balloon festival on Saturday which was impressive. Stopped over night at Barry Ashcrofts then meet up with the Bristol Pistonheads crew on Sunday morning and headed over to Prescott.
I must admit I was impressed with all those cars and all that horse power there wasn't too much dicking about on the motorway! Altho Barry told me the guy on the busa had an underpants moment having a go with the skyline the busa's ass end was all over the shop but he managed to get a grip and not drop it....guess he had a trolley change at Prescott!
I was well impressed with the event.its the 1st time I've been to Prescott it's pleasant venue. There were some great machines there with the car of the day for me going to the 60's Bedford van with a 2.0 blown XE red top 16v in it,that was great off the line! The best TVR off the start by a long way was the bark blue Chim 555TVR reg it was pretty rapid. other cars such as the silver Marcos race car had trouble getting traction off the line I think he was running on road tyres. It looked like an ex GT3/ Dutch challenge supercar it definitely wasn't a road going machine.
I Had 5 runs up the hill first with Barry' Ashcroft in his awesome sounding SLK 55 AMG it sounds great since he's had a couple of the exhaust boxes taken out. I Also went up in my other mates Boxster on the Beetle sorry Porsche parade lap then another two runs with him later, it was his 1st time up any hill and he thoroughly enjoyed it, then the final one was with a young lad called Dean in his old mans 911 GT3RS. What a great ride and a great machine, the traction of the line and into the first bend was mental from the passenger seat it felt a very capable ride...that thing got hammered up there for most of the day a long with a silver Nissan GTR. But for me the dullest car of the day was the R8 V8 it sounded silky smooth but just no entertainment valve & he wasn't hanging about in it...it justlooked like a corporate suit all neat and tidy.
All- in-all a chilled out event and a great way to spend a Sunday
