Do you dream about TVR's? Am I the only one?
Discussion
Ever since I was about 14 and used to see a Cerb drive up the road every day I've wanted one and always said I will own one. In 2002 and my then boss buys a 1976 3000M (supaspark) and we took it out a bit and was the first TVR i actually got to drive and also got me into doing Le Mans and various other events.
Fast forward to now, and as some of you will have seen, I'm hoping to purchase either a Chim or Tuscan in about 18 months time.
Now I'm getting closer to the target, I wake up every morning and all I can think about is buying/owning a TVR and then realised its all I have dreamed about all bloody night!!
Am I alone here, am I mad? am I obsessed? or, is this just what happens?

Not necessarily! Once you try one the wait until you actually own one is almost unbearable!
I agree
been obsessing over a Tuscan for months now but have had to put thoughts of buying on hold cause of the business I recently stopped off at a dealers to look at one advertised. Despite knowing I couldn't yet buy it I justified that it was just continued research, however once the dealer said "Want to take it out to try" I couldn't stop myself. Only a few miles in traffic but its made things so much worse
Wife has now stopped laughing
and is now accusing me of being a junkie
well having just set up a business, it probbably wont happen untill possibly this time nest year or start of 2015 as thats when my frst tax bill is. im not spending anything out of the business account ther than £200 per month spending money as the wife pays all the bills currently, so i will be paying myself yearly hence (hopefuly) a sum to spend on a car after nearly 2 years in business.
BUT
It will happen, probem is i keep looking in the classifieds and especially at James argers stock as i vaugely know him and know i will get a good car
Thanks very much Q, i may well take you up on that offer some day as the only other TVRs i have been in have been on track (cirvy's orange cerb, on a freezing track with ice warning light on
and a sagaris when they frst came out)#so ill be intresting to see what a chim is like on the road, and as and when raceboy has use of both legs i may tap him up for a ride too
regards

Don't forget to take out enough to use up your personal tax allowance in each tax year (even if you stick it into a saving account, it'll minimise your tax). The first tax bill is the worst as you have to also pay on account for your second year but in theory you have already made the money. Hope the business goes well, what is it your doing?regards

Lonners
haha I 'need' to update the garage, MX5 is gone!!!! but I'm now in a bloody smart car!!!
but yes, I'm a hairdresser and have opened a Ladies and gents barbers shop, mainly gents. (do women's cuts but no fannying about like colour and that time consuming pansying about etc)
The shop is very motor sport themed, in fact I have a stolen Le Mans bus stop sign with a big map of the circuit to put up this weekend
Hence the need for a TVR to man up the outside a little more
