Can't excuse it, but I do know they're always busy and I have trouble tracking Simon down when I need to speak to him.

They do seem to be a bit slack replying to e-mails, but I've never had problems getting through on the phone. Cerb going in on Monday for a service.

I find it very rare when car mechanics call back. They can manage to build a car engine but are totally phased by the buttons on a telephone.

Having said that, Peninsula are better than most in this respect.

I let my mechanic know I was changing car and send an e-mail. Out of the blue one day he 'phoned up to see how I was getting on.

OK so it's a rare event - but not impossible.

Well - I am the best customer anyone could want - naturally. I get people ringing me and writing to me all the time to ask if I'll be a customer of theirs
