Read all your posts, but can't find the ones I want.

Interested in buying a TVR probably privately, but need some help.

Have seen some posts on here with people that can help you find a car and even look over a car when you have found one. Can anyone help.

Hope to join you all soon.

Cheers,
Dave.

there is a specialist guy who will find you a car on commission, he's been well recommended on sevreal threads and will also advise on the right specs etc and save you money in the long run. But I cant remember his friggin name! :eek
Someone's bound to chip in here, give it a few mins....

Yep and he's just bought a Griffith for me and I couldn't recommend him enough to you. He'll do all the searching, checking them out and he'll even negotiate the price for you which more than covered his fee in my case. His mobile number is 07799142860

Thanks for the web address, he really does sound pretty good. Would love to buy privately, other than Adrian Blyth, even dealers cars look fairly ordinary to me. Just that Adrian is probably around £3K more than the equivalent private car, which is to be expected.

Any idea what Rob charges? Just want a bit of an idea before I ring him and waste his time.

Thanks for all your help.

I think £500 was mentioned on another thread somewhere recently – don't quote me though.

Yes it is still £500 inclusive of a HPI check. Sounds a lot of cash but he does find some great cars and negotiates the price for you. Tell him what you want and he gives some good advice about model, spec etc. as he is a real enthusiast. You may have to be patient as he is busy but does not buy cars that you cannot sell on as he treats your car budget as his money when looking for cars. Good luck.
