The seller is known to buy salvage cars and sell them on for a tidy profit.


I'd say it was a very good price on the first listing considering it's minimal damage.

I was offered this for £6k but not worth that in my book - is a 4.0 L engine with several £K to spend and then as Grant says you have the interior... and history (or lack of it...).

They have owned the 2000 Griff for 9 months now - don't they ever learn ?

+£3000 sounds like good business, plus they are STILL in business in these challenging time's for anyone.

It's only good business if you sell them ..... and they seem to be trying to monopolize the damaged TVR market doing either no work with a huge mark up or 'repairing to paint stage for £500' (with mixed reviews) and an even bigger mark up....

I'm all for keeping TVR's on the road (especially Griffs) but some of the prices being asked is pricing out the 'DIY final stage to get back on the road' enthusiast ....

The more of them arriving back up north the better !! Good spares availability in the NE.

Perhaps it is all the southern dealers selling them at 24 - 25k that is having the greatest effect on values!

All the cars being snapped up are openly advertised..The guys up in ashington are prepared to pay more and buy them in..Its these guys that you will all be running to eventually because they were prepared to put their money into the venture! and your spare parts will eventually start to dwindle.
