Folks

I gave away mine when I sold my Griff but being in need of one again, I came across this site and ordered one

http://www.thegreenreaper.co.uk/search-results/sea...

£34 each or around £41 delivered pricenuts The thing came in about 2-3 days as well yes

I thought you TVR folks might be interested as IIRC when I bought my first one back in 06 they were about £75!

PS I have nothing to do with this site nor stand to gain by suggesting them smile

I've bought 3 of these over the years and paid around £35 each for them on eBay.

The oldest is 14 years old and is switched on all year round smile

I use a Porsche thingy that just plugs into the cigy lighter socket. Have left it on for up to 6 weeks.

I have two, both bought around the same time, as found the 1st one so good.

IIRC they were around the 35 mark from Neil 4 years ago, at as was then TVR carparts, which I thought was a reasonable price in the market back then, but the addition of a cigy connector for the Cerb at 7 quid odd did take the shine off to say the least ! frown

One stays on the cerb and the other rotates around the others cars and spare on the shelf batteries to keep them ticking over. smile

Can't beat Aldi or Lidl for £14, found TEC most unreliable.

How do you tell which part of the two core lead is red and which is black as I want to cut off the socket and fit croc clips instead.

Best way would be to connect the wires to a battery..... If they're the wrong way around the warning light on the unit will come on....

But if he does have access to one then its just a case of checking continuity, between the centre pin of the adapter and one of the wires.....centre pin being +...

Both of mine came with that set up as standard ie clips.....the cigi connecter was separate and you swop one for the other coz they put a connector plug in the line. wink

one would assume the connecteor is handed in somewhat to preserve polarity as it;s a DC system
