What's wrong with my Griff
Discussion
I've had my Griff 500 now for about two months and I've just achieved my first 1000 miles. However, I'm very concerned that something's not normal.
In summary: Nothing (of any significance) has gone wrong with it. I was told that TVR's won't drive for more than a few miles before breaking down and I'd be on first name terms with the AA within days. This hasn't happened - the Griff hasn't missed a beat and jumps to life first time. Should I be worried that my car's not a proper TVR?

The bad name seems to come from the irregular users who can't understand why the car that's been left for at least a week will not start just because its sunny. Use it regularly - 500 miles a month is about enough - so long as its not two 250 mile hoons. I've used my V8S everyday for five years and its fine...........No RAC callouts.............

it's an inverse thing really, the more you use it and abuse the better it behaves, trouble is, all the money you save on maintenance will be lost because of the high mileage when you come to sell it. Bonkers really because if you keep records you'll find the car you eventually sell has the same ignition key but everything else is new

I agree! but losing a few grand on re-sale after a few years use & 10's of thousands of miles of TVR driving is a no price/loss at all really... oh, had mine 18 months now, used most days & no problems...

Thats less than 17 miles per day...
Damn right thats not normal.
IIRC I managed that in the first few days of TVR ownership

No what you mean, but I have been on holiday for 3 weeks and the Griff is just a 3rd 'fun' car, not an every day one.
