it is damn sexy! and it cost's soo much..
my cat's keep crawling all over it, there nails scratch it when they jump off =/ they dont have any claws now
my crappy camera cant capture all the paintwork..
it goes from green to purple and maybe to black at night...
doesnt it have tiny pearls in it or something?

It's Rage-Extreme colour... I think it explains on the site how it works.
What I want to know is - it's £3600 option on a tuscan - how much was it as an option on the old Nissan Primera?

The Chromaflair colours on the Primera and Micra pictured above are not make by Rage they are made by PPG.
The Primera, there were only 50 of and it was a special edition called the Chromaflair and it was a £2500 option.
Not sure on the Micra but its not a proper flip flop colour.
The way it works is through tiny prisms in the paint that reflect a different amount of light depending on how you look at it. The cost comes from the fact that its rather clever technology.
The upside though is you get a better repair job than flat paint as there is no natural line where the new paint meets the old...

Its the same principal, but not to the same degree.
The Rage stuff is very very very clever indeed whereas the Nissan colours are merely quite smart...

All sounds wonderful and so easy to order when speccing the car.....until you need a front end re-spray. "That will be £2200 sir." Er yeah, well maybe next year.....

I think the reflex Charcoal is great but had endless difficulty choosing the interior for my new Tuscan. Eventually opted for black with dark green inserts. Nsparey - is your car a similar colour scheme if so pics of the interior would be great as it would save me more sleepless nights!!!
