A Bit Miffed Actually
Discussion
I was sitting watching the new series of Top Gear tonight and was pleased to see that Hugh Bonneville was The Star in the Car.As the interview progressed i said to myself that surely they will show a clip of Hugh in The Man Who Made Husbands Jealous, driving a raspberry Griffith but no not even a mention. Last time i'm helping Top Gear out with the use of my TVR !
No,it wasn't my car in the film. The TVR Club in Ireland were involved with the Top Gear show In Dublin a few years back,we did some demos for the crowd 5 times a day for the two days.it was actually great fun as the area was covered in ice and snow so made handling interesting and a great crowd puller to boot.

That aside, surely this must be one of the worst episodes!
We all know that this is more of an entertainment show but it was seriously rubbish even by their standards.

Even by their standards it was rubbish, I had the misfortune to switch it on, watched the bit where the keys were under the felt wrap and promptly switched it off!Utter rubbish.
Format needs desperately refreshing - and dare i say some newer or change of presenters - as its well past its sell-by date. The whole Stig thing is as cringingly tired as the format itself despite having Shelsey Walsh as a backdrop.
Shame as I was looking forward to it but as normal for recent series was very disappointing all round - missed opportunity for a refresh after the long break

Didn’t rate it at all. It’s all become a bit like an old band tuning out the same old stuff expecting it will sell…….or worse a band knowing they are turning out rubbish and just keeping going because they can’t think of anything else.
And whilst I am on it….come on Clarkson what’s all the cock humour and turning the girls on with a handbrake turn. All a bit sad at your age.

Saw a clip of men & motors on youtube recently where a much younger Hammond was singing the praises of TVR. Gets on Top Gear, slags them off. Typical 'presenter' , not a journalist who changes his opinion at the behest of producers, or just to 'fit in.' Ar****le.
Recently posted (he's visiting TVR Central) but from around the year 2000 I'd say (No Tuscans), just before he got the job on the revamped Top Gear in 2002.

Covers their cars in the 80s briefly too. (First Griffs were £25k. Residuals are too high then!)
