Any of you guys who have ported your own heads (spend? sardonicus?) .. what did you use to get your final surface finish?

I've got a pair of heads that i've roughed out with the carbide cutters but I'm struggling to find anything that will get into the square port corners of the Rover heads and give a nice 80grit or similar surface finish.
The final round part to the back of the valve seat is easy as i can just use a normal shallow 1 inch diameter or similar round abrasive flap wheel .. it's the square section I'm struggling with.

I've got the shape I want, just want to make it look like I've finished the job off rather than leave it as is (though in reality the flow won't change at all, it just irks me to leave it with the carbide cutter finish, .. IYSWIM)

These are my tools of choice for fine finishing work. You can use the small diameter ones

That looks a great budget kit thanks. Could do with a longer arbor or extension though .. the standard lengths are too short to really get down the port properly .. off to do some eay research .. thanks for that link.

How about some abrasive cartridge rolls. They come in a variety of conical and cylindrical shapes/sizes on a 6mm mandrel and bit longer reach than the diddy Dremel stuff. They go down to 3mm diameter and up to 19mm.

Yes, straight and tapered rolls like that look ideal .. been looking at sets on ebay but the nice ones are around 70 pounds a set. Buying individually what I need at cromwell could well be the way to go, cheers.
