Soiid colour paints on TVR's - clearcoat or not?

I have a red chimaera that has an area of paint that's faded slightly. I guess the metallic finishes are painted and then clearcoat over the top but what about the solid colours (red)?

Can I get a detailed to 'mop' it or will it just be mopping the clearcoat?

Hi, there should be a clear coat on a solid paint. Try a small area with T Cut and see if it improves.

A lot of the solid colour painted cars I have worked on with original paint from factory is just 2k. Not base and lacquer.
