TVR - Hot Gossip
Discussion
I'm bored.
So, got the calculator out and did some sums, adding up the number of posts on PH in various categories (all the figures are close approximations). The results speak for themselves.
Lotus..................284,000 posts
Supercar...............305,000
BMW....................338,000
Porsche................918,000 of which the 911 has, wait for it, 911,000 posts
Other Marques..........1,484,000
and, last but by no means least
TVR....................2,100,000
That is an amazing figure for a small volume manufacturer that is out of production.
So, does that make you all gasbags and gossips?
Maybe you should be spending less time on here and doing more of this...

Yep, for a good few years the forum was TVR only, then all the riff-raff got let in.
Yep the good old days, then we had banter with Pork owners when they came on board.Remember when SPL was formed, it was basically set up to help Tiv owners with speeding and other minor offences, you post something on there now and you get hung, drawn an quarted and patronised by every Volvo driver and do gooder on here.
Pity there is no TVR alternative forums out there, the TVRCC forums don`t look like they are going anywhere.
Just come on here out of habit nowadays.
I am SOOOOOO disappointed.
Attracted by the tempting heading, I came on here expecting to glimpse the new TVR revealed in all its' splendour, surrounded by nubile dancing girls clad in diaphanous negligibles, and what do I get?
A load of old gimmers wallowing in nostalgia.
It's not what it used to be back in my day....
It's enough to make you weep.

Aye. Nostalgia hasn't been the same for a while now.

If it wasn't for the old gimmers supporting PH in the early days people might have to put up with just the TVRCC forum for tips and advice.
Since I retired, I have begun to learn how to use those new-fangled computer thingies.
As a result I have been able to explore the darkest recesses of these hallowed halls of PH Towers, and have become an avid member of the TVR S Club G.T.S.
( Gentlemens' Touring Section ), exploring Europe, arguing about satnavs, dealing with incontinence issues, & complaining about the French.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all.

Without your pioneering spirit, none of this would have been possible.
I wish I could also post on the TVRCC Forum, if only just to liven it up a bit, but my Android won't let me.
Maybe it knows best. ?

All this nostalgia is making me sad. Can't say the same about the TVRC site but maybe, just maybe, it is because this site has taken over everyone's lives.
I bet most of you go into auto-pilot and when you come home from a hard day's work (your day is always hard) and demand the other half serves your tea, you then sit down in your favourite armchair while wifey makes you a nice cup of tea. You watch the news avidly (as you have done for the last 40 years) then its time for a look at the paper while 'she' washes up. Oh oh, Coronation Street is coming on so you grab the laptop and search for some like-minded souls to keep you company through the evening. "You remember when....."
Just to keep you wallowing in the good old days, can you now post your sepia photos of your cars. That would be in keeping with the theme here.
