It would appear that owners have been told not to drive their new 991 GT3's because of a number of unexplained fires that appear to have destroyed the cars! Obviously terrible if you are a lucky (or not) owner of these fab machines. But I would suggest that TVR jokes in Porsche forums may well hit an all time low.

Not good is it, I feel really sorry for them, waiting for your new dream car then not allowed to have it, or if you have it, then drive it.

If you have not been on the Porsche forum you may not have seen this.

I'm seeing the Porsche folk in a different light..

When you have laid that kind of money out for your P&J and can't drive it,and still find the funny side is praise in my eyes.

Must watch it's brilliant and Genius.

Glad I sold our Porsches now. GF was thinking about a new one, but managed to convince her
otherwise.

Why? they are great cars, true petrol head cars.

The previous two we had both failed with engine issues which had to be replaced under warrantee.

The 997 PDK (2012) was just plain dull to drive. It was faster than my Evora, yes, but it just interfered
too much and just never did it for me. The only time it was driven was when GF was in the country
or the Evora was off the road.

Therefore, I sold it.

Looking at an AM or Jag F-type now.

Yes. Even has Chris Harris in the act!

Us rich, overloaded guys who can afford to buy new Porsches, Jag Fs, and modify TVRs with LS kits are going to have to spend, spend, spend to keep our P&J on the road with bespoke (hate the word) newly made parts, 3D or not. Enjoy our TVRs and the new one coming up. At the end of the day when the sun is going down for us, inheritance tax will be looming for another big spend. We can reduce it somewhat, by over-spending on motor mania exotica. As long as they don't become rare icons increasing in value. Stop, end of preach!
