hmmmm, highway maintenance???

A whole bunch of highway maintenance vans and trucks turned up on the road outside our flats today.

Last year we had about a mile of speed bumps put in, bleedin big ones aswell.

Now they are ripping them out this morning. Don't know what they will do next but I see only three options.

1) Put in even bigger ones in which case I better sell the car as I won't be able to drive here anymore.

2) Put in some sort of traffic calming, alternate right of way type thingy. Not my favourite option as the roads get very busy anyway due to the schools around here.

3) Put the road back the way it was, my personal favourite.

Going by experience round here I very much doubt it will be #3 so if you see my car up in the classifieds over Christmas then you will know why

Best traffic calming device : let the kids play in the road, just like I did when I were a lad.

Not many cars about then tho
