My insurer no longer offers a descent discount, if the car is in storage for 3 months, am looking for someone to cover my modified Tuscan (5.7L) and give a reasonable discount when the road risk is suspended

I would have thought most companies offer lay up insurance. I have mine with ClassicLine on a Cerbera I have been working on. I think it was about £75 to insure it for the year so much cheaper than fully comp.

I can't imagine they'll do any offer for 3 months ..... Mines SORN'd from Nov to April never thought of asking to see if there's a reduction in the premium.

If you Google car lay up insurance loads of companies do it. Even Aviva do it any they aren't even specialists. BeWiser must be confused or incompetent.

The latter, thats why I ditched them. I still have the emails they sent saying no such policy exists.

Mannings seem to have just changed there policy, it used to be 75% reduction new rules are 25% big jump. Anyone know of any other insurer that lets you change part way tho the year from full to layup?

Ive had 2 TVRs on lay up insurance, and one on the road.

The lay up cost about £40 each for the year, and the wedge was around £112 for the year.

All with RH Insurance on one policy, and recently after I had finished the restoration on the Taimar, one quick phone call and a tenner later, and the Taimar was insured back on the road.

Escellent service I say!
