I'm told there's an engine hidden in the front of mine - but I've never seen it......

All I've seen on my various TVRs are chassis numbers, trim colours etc. However, I've heard from some of my American friends that cars exported there during the 70s had some 'nice' messages aimed at the Yanks

One fuel tank had 'This will self-explode on Jan 1st 1980, fk you all'

My Tuscan had the Gary Numan stencil as well. I've since forgotten who does this. It may be one of the blokes that installs the interior. I also had the opportunity to sign the car before the carpets went in so someone is driving a Tuscan with my name next to the drivers seat!

Every car I saw at the factory had the Gary Numan stencil.

I find it amusing that someone who paints the car places his mark there too. Mine had several paint defects when I got it and I dont know of any new model without a paint/exterior finish defect of some description. My dealer's bodyshop did 10x better job compared to the factory. It's a bit like graffiti artists signing their work IMO. When I had my tour of the factory the guys in the bodyshop area seemed to be very thorough ... but obviously it still isnt good enough. I hope Smolenski invests in this area once he sees where the majority of his warranty payments are going (paintwork and trim).
