I have posted a similar thread on the Chimaera forum but my quest is promted by seeing the results of someone's time spent on a Grif as seen under-the-bonnet picture on page 31 of November's Sprint.
Its winter and i want to spend some time getting to know my 'new' Chimaera.
look forward to your answers

I have been doing the same with my engine bay, I have painted the rocker covers and part of plenum, with heat resistant paint. I have put S/S overbraid to cover most of the rubber hoses. Gave it a good clean, painted the chassis and renewed some parts that were rusting with new parts (not in this particular photo) I also had a S/S bonnet stay made, here is a pic of the engine bay of my V8S albeit a month ago before a few bits were finished.
I have more upto date photos if you want them.

Mike, This looks fantastic and just the sort of thing that i want to do to my Chimp,
hopefully over the winter, although i will be using the car.
I would really appreciate seeing the other pictures and advice on where to get the SS hose covers and how to go about the polishing and painting required.
I admire your efforts mate

Its all done so I dont have to polish it like Andy, its easy maintenance
A quick wipe once a month is enough now, bet Andy spends a little more time than that, although it shows, Andys car is certainly the cleanest csr I have ever seen!!!! Mike
