Picked it up on Saturday from the guys, and promptly used a tankful taking a 200 mile long way round to my home (70miles normally).

It's now Bl**dy quick, very responsive, even louder and weirdly seems to use LESS fuel!

Due to various options and repairs etc (e.g. 8 new pistons ), my credit card now resembles a Dali clock and is currently in intensive care for the foreseeable..

Worth it, though

If you assume that a healthy 5.0 puts out around 300bhp as normal, the Taraka takes that up to around 340bhp, depending on options (like having precats removed).

if you assume 275ish bhp as many do on here, then you're talking about 310 bhp post upgrade.

Either way, it's much quicker and smoother once it's warmed through. it did use less fuel (22.4mpg).

Spotted on way back:
Dark blue tuscan on A444? (burton area?)

Dark Green 'S' near Holmewood, chesterfield.

Hi s-monkey, now we need a pic of your car so we know which one to wave by instead of racing!

Look for the Taraka sticker onm the rear number plate - if 1) he puts it on and 2) you're quick enough to see it.
Curiously ours is using more fuel (and we are still treating it fairly gently).

pic now on profile.

It's since had a 12" pistonheads sticker added to the black part of the rear bumper, a 6" PH sticker on each side window, there's a rainbow sticker along the base of the rear number plate (just visible in pic) and will soon be joined by a Taraka sticker.

200 miles for a tankful and that's using less fuel.
Lordy! you must have heavy shoes. It's good to see good feedback about the Taraka upgrades because I would love to have this done to my car. I think I'll get the old credit card balances down to zero first. If that's possible. Oh, and I want Nitrons, Oh and brake upgrades. The list is endless.

Grouch.

200 miles usually worked at around 20-21 mpg, filling up when it shows 1/8 full, but some of my normal driving is slow, town stuff.

First tank post-Taraka got me 235 miles on highish speed a roads and motorway.

I'm going for a blat somewhere this Sunday.
