Many of you will already know that the TVRCC track day is on 2nd June, a Monday, this year. £154 for a full day. Book on the TVRCC website even if you aren't a member (costs an extra fiver for non-members.

It IS sessioned, to give the novices a chance to have fun without me tearing past them every five minutes, so there is seven hours of track time, but in that time you get one 20 minute session on track per hour, and hour and forty minutes of hard driving in total. The rest of the time can be spent chatting and blagging rides in Cerbs and Sags.

I have already booked. I am flagging this up so that you all know about it. I live 40 miles from the track and can accommodate up to three of you, with partners, for the night before and/or after, so that we can make a barbecue of it the Sunday and Monday nights. As many more with motorhomes or tents as care to come can stay, as I have a decent sized garden.

With a bit of luck I should be able to book the well known TVR comedy turn, The Two Dazzes, for your entertainment, as both live locally. They are Daz the electrician, owner of the 142 decibel Cerbera, and Daz the Plumber, owner of a dodgy diff and known and loved by you all.

Yes Daz, it gives you the option online, do you consider yourself a novice?

That is plenty if you haven't done many trackdays before, especially if it's warm. Even on OPL I generally only do 20 on 20 off.

Done that myself, and stalled it. In our defence it is an adverse camber, I try to short shift from the hairpin and take it in third now

Yes. Get on the TVRCC website, go to events, and complete the booking form. It asks you to select a skill level. I will happily take you round or come round with you and show you te lines etc. It will be a pleasure.

There's the form, but i agree, Daz, it looks like a classic piece of TVRCC organisation:

The member's section of the website does indeed say 8th June.
The full page advert in The April edition of Sprint (page 19) says it is 2nd June.

You are not going mad, nor am I.

I have emailed them to find out which date we are supposed to turn up, as i cannot afford to take a week off work and pitch tent at Cadwell.

I've looked on the TVRCC website and effing annoying, you have to sign in to read about the Event, but it only says 2 June on my PC. Which IS the date.

For info, we've only got 12 people signed up so far. Which is a really rather just a bit too sad for a Car Club the size of ours.......

I have a habit of going on the wrong day or even turning up at the wrong track furious

Where Daz and I saw 8th June is if you click on the drop down menus on the very left of the home screen, click on track days, log in as a member, and it gives you a little grid showing track days at (Enid) Blyton, which must be a Noddy track, on 6th June, Cadwell 8th June and a third one I cannot remember. I never even knew about these track days. Non-members, a lower sub-human species of hangers-on and ne'r-do-wells, cannot get info about the day on the TVRCC website, even though you can actually pay an extra fiver and be human ( I mean become a member) for the day.

On the Tvrcc shop track day booking form itself there is no mention of a date, nor on the email you get when you have booked.

I have booked because it's huge fun, even though I am supposed to be at work doing reports, as it is the first working day of the month. I am just hoping that the fee I have paid will actually get me admission on 2nd June.

That extra fiver option on the website is the additional driver/passenger fee. The fiver for non-members only seems to appear on the Sprint ad.....which is a members magazine!!

Best thing you can do is ring the TVRCC office on 01952 822126, or use the form on page 19 of the April edition of Sprint and use a strange invention from 1840 called "post" to get it and your "cheque" back to the TVRCC.

From memory, they do send out the info. But they have lists at the track for when you forget the stuff!! Helmet and driving licence are essential, I have spare helmets, but not spare licences!!
Will be lovely to see you there with your car this time. You had some good passenger rides last time IIRC.
Yes, I have joined the experienced group this time. I put myself in the intermediate last time, but was the fastest car in the group, so thought I would promote myself this time. Which group have you joined?
