Hi newbie here

Just wondering how soon before delivery they normally ask for a full deposit. I have a delivery date of March, and have so far put down the £1000.

Don't you normally pay the full deposit when you fully spec the car?

Odd, they usually ask for the balance of the 10% when it goes into build.

I would expect that if they havent asked for anything up until now its just going to be a balance job when it gets delivered.

Edited to add because I am crap at english.

£45K car

£1000 down with order sheet.

£3500 down with spec sheet

£40,500 when you collect the car.

I think it depends on the dealer you go through, as I know of some who paid the £1K and rest on delivery, while others paid the £1K and the remaining of the 10%.

Mind you this might be decided based on the taste level of how the car is specced up, so if the dealer knows they can sell it on they'll just as for £1K.
