Monday May 5th....long long day!! Flew with fellow PHer Griffgray to Belfast to bring back my newly purchased T350T.
Caught the ferry from Belfast to Stranraer & then headed south towards Bristol.
In hindsight, we should've driven down to Dublin & caught ferry to Holyhead. We would've shaved at least three hours off journey! But at least it gave me the opportunity to get to know my car......and what a car it is! It has the 4.0 Red Rose engine & it is ridiculously quick. Plus it has the noisy sports exhaust which sounds great but after 12 hours we both had ears ringing!
Have a lot to learn about car & would be grateful for any advice or tips from other PHers.

Neil .... Congrats on your new car. Had a ruby with Griffgray tonight and heard about the trip! Great motor, and a T top as well.
Now ........ Time we got 'him' back into the fold again!! LOL. Loved his motor!
Look forward to seeing your 'new' motor when you are down this way. Make a date 27th Sept - Neil Garner Open Day at SN16 9SH. Where we had 300 TVRS last year. It has now become the biggest TVR traders day in the calendar with over 30 TVR trade stands including a rolling road to test the 'new' motor on! Graham, will fill you in on the event. ATB regards Paul. Aka Marz92

Boy it was a long day !! But you realise what a fantastic car the T350 is to do some serious touring in, as she didn't miss a beat. I know you are going to have some serious fun and every trip is an " occasion". I miss mine too.

It was great to pass on the little knowledge to Neil, I gained from my brief ownership and I did fill her up for him and explain the routine. However his seemed to fill a lot quicker than mine used too.

Paul I will definitely make sure he comes to the best TVR event at Neil Garner's later in the year, hopefully I will still be welcome biggrin

Might even put mine on the rolling road as you suggested.

Hi everyone,
Griffgray isn't exaggerating when he said Monday's journey from Belfast was a long one....but so worth it! I still can't believe the car is mine....I'm totally thrilled.
And a big thank you for posting those pics of the car from its earlier life....it looks very at home on a track! I bet it would lap quicker now though! Lol.
I took the car out for a run yesterday to get to know it a bit & decided to head to TaylorTVR in kent. Was a nice run but half a mile from my destination I noticed some white smoke/vapour coming from under the bonnet! Obviously I was a tad nervous. I'd been sitting still at traffic lights & was willing them to change so I could get the car to the garage. But I needn't have panicked. The guy at Taylor's popped the bonnet & reckons the water may have been overfilled or maybe a drop of oil just burnt off on engine.
Feeling greatly relieved I decided to celebrate by taking the roof off for the first time.....now that was fun.....right up until the heavens opened!!! I needed a wash anyway!
