Looking to change my current multicar policy that covers both TVR T350 and BMW X3 for myself and the wife.

I'd like to get something that will also cover me for trackday use on the TVR.

Checking out the Wiki - are ManningUK still the one to go for?

Any other recommendations? Both of us are over 30 with clean licenses etc.

I was with Manning until November (car currently SORN) and I intend to go back to them having been very satisfied. I don't know about right now but my policy certainly included Trackday cover.

Thanks both - sounds good then. Just waiting for them to call me back after doing the online quote form.

Out of interest - do they insure just your TVR or other vehicles as well? Currently we have a single policy with multicar discount with our current insurers.

Hmm - not really coming up cheaper for me at the moment but the chap from Manning who called me back said they do have an issue with London postcodes.

About the same price for the TVR I'm currently paying for TVR + X3!

He did admit that I'm better off looking around for my X3 quote though as 4x4 they can't do very good quotes on, so it may still work out costing in when I consider trackday insurance (which I currently have to pay £100+ per event in addition to my road insurance).

Their [Mannings] policy is however much lower excess, agreed value and no issues with mods - although he did say they draw the line at LS7 engine swaps!

Bottom line with any insurance is how they behave when you make a claim.

I've been with Mannings for last 4 years. However, last July I suffered a low speed shunt into the rear of my car. On first appraisal, damage was estimated at circa £1K (cracking to rear shell below boot spoiler, new rear lamp and N/S exhaust strap), however, paint shop struggled to match paint as it had faded.

Upshot was that paint shop contacted insurers, advised them of problem, and within 48 hrs, they had agreed to a full re-spray.

Mannings have the TVR policies with "Amlin", with whom I dealt direct during the claim. They were very efficient and above all, FAIR and reasonable.

Another vote here for A.Manning thumbup
As said above, its when you need to make a claim that the "good" companies shine, been with them for many years and have had to make a couple of claims in that time and it was painless.
May be slightly more expensive than others, but they cover everything I need, including highly modified car and agreed value at no extra cost smile

I am also with Mannings (London, TVR garaged, Classic car policy) and each time i have looked for an alternative, nobody coudl come close to Nannings price wise...

I am due a re-insure in July and i am pretty sure Mannings will get my money again...

Great to heard that they are really good when it comes to making a claim...
