Hi Folks.......
I know, didn't ever think the day would come especially after 12 years as RO and 3 on the TVRCC committee
during which time we made sooo many good friends up and down the country.
But there came a time when caring for my frail parents meant the Sagaris spent a lot of time moping at home and
when my parents passed away, we retired and decided to swop mile intensive thrills for something a little more chilling somewhere warm and sunny.
It took Ray a good 5 months to persuade me to sell, and I'm posting because with the proceeds of the sale of the Sagaris we have just purchased a Jeanneau Sun Odessey 36.2 sailing yacht which is berthed in Spain, so we will be forum jumping to the boaty section.

The Sagaris was our Pride and Joy.
No expense was spared keeping her in tip top shape. She has armour fending and is in lovely condition.
She has higher mileage than some TVRs because of my involvement with the Club, but they were 'on the road having fun' miles.
An RO and ROCO needs a reliable TVR!

yikes

Well Pauline I never thought I'd read such a thread!

I can understand the reasons though, and what better reason to let YP go than relaxing in the sun. I'm sure it'll find a good home. Still must be quite a wrench for you both though.
Have fun on your next life journey - don't be strangers to the forum.

I went the other way. Sold my yachtee and bought a Griff. Far far less work and expense looking after a Tiv. But miss the solitude and silence away from crowded uk roads.
Enjoyed being rescued by Sea King copter "on a Bible black night" in the North Sea in November.
A Griff is safer? no need for safety belts, flares, or being enprisoned in an unzipable survival suit bought at an iffy car boot sale.
In a Griff one just stops near some bushes to do the......yikes Enjoy your sailing change with Jeanneau 36, but welcome back in the fold, eventually. Les Edgar will have something exciting to offer.

Sorry Al.....didn't think.
We sold quietly and just wanted TVR peeps to know the Sag's a cracker.

Mark.....change comes to us all. shocking but true. Thank you for your wishes. smile

EGB, good luck with your Griff. Owning a TVR has been an amazing experience and I hope we enjoy the boat as much.

Hi Pauline and Ray. Yes we agree its sad that the sag had to go so you could move on to pastures new. We know you also will never forget that car,and the cerb. Plus i doubt TVR will ever forget you both.
Love Dave and Diane.xxxxx
