As title, does anyone know if I can use the same collant type for both the 2.9 Cologne engine and the 3.6 SP6 engine? Need to renew coolant in both and it would be handy just to have 'common' spare.

Thanks.

Probably.

S6 uses pink coolant. I use that in all my other cars now.

I think the pink stuff (OAT or something like that) rots the rubber on older cars so I'd stick with ethylene glycol based (blue) for the S.

Would it be safe to use the pink OAT on the S after a good flushing & replacing the coolant hoses with silicon ones?

So swapping to silicone hoses throughout should allow me to use the 'new' longlife coolant?

Stewart, I thought that was a bit spooky just then!

You can't go by colour alone, ethylene glycol based coolant is available in many colours I have pink, green & blue in glycol

as well as your hoses I'd be concerned with the gaskets that come into contact with coolant, not sure how they'd react to different coolant from original spec.
