That's right folks membership to the TVRCC is set to rise by £5 per year in 2005 as detailed on page 6 in the December Sprint.

That's to cover the personal delivery of every copy direct to your door on a silver platter.

Thats the first increase in a while, and wasnt the current committies first action to suspend an price increase.

Seems fair to me..

£5, a fiver, a bluey, a lady, do they not know that's at least 432 yards worth of fuel, one copy of EVO or in some pubs a Pint (London).

Just been to one regional and had 3 issues of Sprint but feel like I've got my monies worth if they need a fiver extra then good on 'em for being up front and giving plenty of notice.

If you got a Tiv then lets be honest you ain't gonna notice it.

To be honest I don't know how this compares to other clubs in the same bracket?

Anyone?

I think the Porsche club is £60/yr plus £10 activation (whatever that means), but I could be wrong. Not entirely sure what you get for your money, there is a mag but not sure how frequent, and a website, but I've never been on it. My brother's a member but I don't think he's ever been to their events. So a bit of a vague comparison I'm afraid !!

MG Owners Club is £30 a year for a monthly mag which is slightly thicker than Sprint, but not so glossy. You need to remember that the membership is near 50,000! The local club is great.

An extra £5 a year is fine with me, we get a lot out of our local clubs (Mid Essex and Norfolk/Suffolk) and enjoy Sprint.

is it me though or is the "picture this" bit becoming a bit too arty for anyone elses taste? Didnt mind the odd arty shot of a headlight or a wheelarch etc but now its being judged by an artist there are no decent shots of TVRs, but a photo of one spider arm or one windscreen wiper. great.

LOL,,, that's exactly what I thought!! I like to look at the cars, not a part of a car which, TBH, could be anything, as it seems focused on the area as big as as a stone chip!!

An extra £5 is a small price to pay for the sense of wellbeing I have when reading Sprint on the train back home after a long stty day at w*rk - it makes me realise why I do it (w*rk that is)...

£15 a year for the Marlin Owners club which brings a mag every other month and a host of events ran by the people

Well worth it considering insurance drops £120 with membership
