future looks bleak for TVR
Discussion
I am very concerned about developments at TVR since Smolenski's arrival.
They have now lost the contributions of Peter Wheeler, John Ravenscroft and most recently, Neill Andersen. These were 3 of TVR's key designers and they will be very hard to replace, especially under the present owner's regime of blinding ignorance.
The Sagaris is also being changed considerably from the prototype design shown to the world as a radical track car, developed in a wind tunnel. The wheel arch and bonnet vents are now being filled in, apparently due to type approval and water leak problems, reducing it effectively to a slightly wider T350. So all that hype about it being a track car can now be forgetten.
David Saxton lasted 6 weeks, Nigel Something-Orother lasted 4 days as GM and now, allegedly Ben Samuelson is back in the marketing hotseat.
the future does not look bright...

Any simplification of the Sagaris's crude vents and spoiler is to be welcomed. TVR is not the first to design air vents on bonnet and wings, just the first to make them appear fashioned by blows from a Viking axe. Raising the ride height allows the car to drive over normal roads. All that will help increase sales.

All was not well at TVR, that's why we have new management. The business needs to change to find its new future. You can't keep playing the same game and expect to be able to achieve a different answer. Those most influential in TVR's past will feel as though they have lost control over their empires. They either embrace this change or shake hands and go their separate ways. A new model every year and more outrageous each time. That's not sustainable and will lead to TVR's demise. Give them time and you will see a new and vibrant TVR.
Oh and now the news is out I should add that the Chim/Griff wheel & brake upgrade that was under the direction of Neill Anderson will be picked up by someone else but the timing of that will depend on the pressure they feel from people still on the list. I fortunately was the last recipient and was engaged in the deal when Neill decided to leave.

Hmmm take away the vents and i think it will be almost a T350

Wow an interesting post. Can Pistonheads or anybody confirm that JR and NA have left TVR and if so where have they gone to? Followed DMcT to Marcos? And was that David Saxton from formerly at Lotus circa 1999/2000?
