"Modified meet"ing

thought it might be good to do a "Modified Meet" sometime this summer.



anyone up for it?

old/new
home made/factory
specialist/race/Max power!

so long as its a TVR!

similar to the original griff growl. anywhere roughly central to those displaying probably coventry or similar...silverstone perhaps. maybe at a motorsport event...Trackday? could sort that too

should be able to get mark adams/tim lamont/joospeed etc interested.

overnight/beer would be good.

anyone interested in displaying/or viewing drop a line on here and if enough people are into it i'll sort it.

the idea is for a modified cars get together/display ofcourse, but any TVR would be welcome...

Gawping at them and lusting after them is OK but I'd rather be driving around a track with you all. After all, that's the point of modding isn't it? Is that really feasible bearing in mind you have the noisiest cars in the world... probably

will need to be a 105db day minimum.

and i guess Act will do a stonking trade in silencers!

(i have to put four on mine to get it down to 103db)

I'm really more into driving than displaying - as you'd realize if you saw the state of my engine bay. But hey, oil stops it rusting, right?

Anyway, the meeting sounds like an interesting idea and I'd like to see what you've all been up to.

well trackday seems favoutite, options are...

1, book our own event via an organiser.

2, block book on an organisers existing loud day (or unrestricted day)

3, do a TVR trackday.


(have to go with an organiser for insurance reasons)

1 = expensive around £200-£250est depending on quantity will look into this as a mate of mine has a trackday co

2,= possibly best/cheapest option

3, = good for TVRCC members (insurance) but almost certainly there will be noise issues! probably end up a display day for some owners.

raceboy, are you thinking about your tuscan? what db level does that run?

think i'll have to disqualify that anyway as its not modified...(nothing to do with the fact that it'll be WAY quicker than mine!!!!
