We seem to hear a lot of stories about people being killed in TVRs. Now there are not that many TVRs on the road. What is it about the cars which seem to increase the risk?
Surely that is pretty obvious - very light cars with shed loads of power, no ABS and no airbags - for the majority of drivers, that is going to put you in a worse position in an accident.
The significant factor is probably that it was an old TVr - a Taimar or something - i.e. no crash protection worth the name. To my mind anything before the curent cars should be treated with special respect - griffs and chimaeras have no roll-over protection, and rudimentary side impact protection.
Let's not add to the numbers, chaps, and we'll all have a happier Christmas
