there ist "some small" difference between austria (kfz-steuer) and same in uk:

a speed 6 costs per anno around £ 1.850.00

now you know that you are living/driving in a paradise.

insurance is extra also not the real bargain ..

Hi Sascha.

Please correct me if I am wrong, however I'll clarify a little. There is an annual tax in Austria based in the manufacturer's stated engine output, The €1850 annual tax is for the speed six (a Tamora in this case).

Makes owning a TVR quite expensive..however even the equivalent of B roads in Austria are a drivers paradise...

hi 500 in italiano,

exact, but could be payed also monthly or half year for a little more add.

and if you import a used-car from uk, let's say with "some" power, you must pay 16%+20% (for this 16%) luxus-tax called nova (such a nice name ;-(() counted from the buying price.

b-roads, lets say in the wonderfull wachau are really nice and not to much disturbed by rader or lazer holding pol...men.

Juts renewed mine - £20.12 per month by direct debit. Bargain. Not that it's used to maintain the bits of tarmac between potholes that we laughingly call roads.....furious

Not sure I understand that comment.

The annual road tax rate for a TVR built before 03/2001 is £230.

Under the new system, you have three choices:

Pay in full in advance £230
Pay six months in advance = £115 +5% = £120.75
Pay monthly in advance = £230/12 +5% = £20.12 per month

Sorry, my fault. I must have slipped over from a parallel universe.
