Say you had 20k to spend .. what would you consider the best investments? Would you buy one T350 or Tamora say, or a cheap tatty Griff or Chimaera to fix up?
What are the models to watch out for as investments? (none of the models are exactly going down in value are they?)

A clean, low mileage MK1 Tuscan would be my choice if it was purely for investment purposes. They'll be worth a fortune in a couple of decades time IMO.

There are only 6 Tamora's for sale... supply/demand meaning prices will rise or is it in proportion to production numbers?
I like the looks of a facelift Tam + the roof off ability more than a t350. But the Tuscan is and always will be utterly utterly gorgeous in my eyes.

If you buy it to drive it like I have, it will be anything but an investment... breakages, servicing, addiction to upgrades... all make sure of that...

I would buy a tamora now if i wouldn't have one already. It is the last of the T-Cars that will be going up in price in near future. Back in 2011 when i purchased mine, good T350 and tamoras had a price diff of about 1000-2000. Nowadays it is up to 5000-6000. And the tamora will follow...

I would have thought so, but I also expect the rise to be a lot slower than how quickly it drains from my wallet!

Only trouble buying a Tamora , is unless the interior has been redone, you need to get rid of that awful bison fake leather smile .

SEAC
Tuscan s
cerby r/r
cerby gt
There the ones I would go for with £20k to spend.
With the knowledge you have i'd go for a cerby,if you could find an early press car with the 4.7 engine needing work that would be great.

SEACs definitely on the up, good ones are £15k+ now.. but with very limited numbers built, finding one is getting harder.

Cerb 450 would be on my list too

I don't think i'd have a cerbera, I don't actually enjoy driving them very much. The later T cars are far nicer in that respect. An early Mk1 Tuscan would be good .. find one in the early teens of thousands and buy a 4.3 bottom end kit from Dom..
I will have a think smile

Depending on your timescale (very important for investments (quick flip or hold?) and whether you'll be driving it will affect your choices.

Also whether you buy mint or a doer upper.....

SEAC, Griff or T car for £20k

or Wedge, Chim, S for £20k combined (half that if you want to do up/add value..).

Above all, what will give you the most pleasure and profit/investment is the icing on the cake.

Just my tuppenneth (sorry , £20k worth..).

Ther first owner of my car made a false economy there, but it gives me an excuse to get it retrimmed really nicely in future.

It didn't put me off when buying it - it's all about the driving and is fine until you look too closely.

Any Early Vixen or Tuscan best little TVR ever built IMOP or a well restored M series car numbers are lower and rarity adds to the appeal look for a well restored example that has been sympathetically uprated both mechanically and electrical and use and enjoy and in 5 years time you should have had free ownership when you come to pass them on to a new custodian

Joolz, I`d say the Tamora would be right up your alley, a bit of roof off fun, and values only going upwards, an very nice handling too.

Jools, I agree with Clive. This one's not a million miles away….
