As the title suggests,
For those who have popped in a 4/5/6 point harness into their T-Car, which did you go for?
Thanks as always

I am getting a bar made up that will go across behind the drivers seats, for the over the shoulder straps. The waists straps, I have assumed will mount to the rear seat bolts?

Luke 4 point on a road car.

It was suggested to me that some MOT stations may not pass a 6 point harness....yes daft I know....but because they are not familiar with the buckle type on most six point harnesses....whereas the four points, or at least the Luke ones I had in the mini, had a clip type like most seat belts and the pairs of straps joined to each other before the joint.

Does anyone know of a supplier for SIMPSON harnesses? Think they're based in the US but I've never seen them for sale...

I use Schroth 6 point and have no complaints:

You need to check when purchasing that they are signed-off for road use...I recall that the twist release are not but the press button are generally OK.

If I may, just a word of caution on mounting....when we looked at this we weren't convinced that a harness bar across the b-posts was secure and on the standard seat fitting, the normal belts actually attach to the seat, not the chassis eek.
In the end we went for a dedicated harness bar bolted onto the main chassis + custom seat mounts in conjunction with the new seats.

Happy to discuss.

I only use Willlans harnesses, great product and will customise to suit if you need it.

I have crash tested them too and they work !!

I am sure you can get E marked ones with twisties - I have TRS ones in one of my cars and am pretty sure they are permissable for road use. They've passed several MOTs in situ.

Hi , I went for Titon 5 point lightweight Harness's for occasional track use in conjunction with a temporary drivers race seat. I'm planning on fitting a pair of Tillett B5's in the future.
I had a harness bar fabricated to fit on the existing seat belt mountings (at the rear of the B pillars)and used reinforced seat mountingss and Harness eyes onto the chassis . Hope it helps.
I refitted the original belts for road use.

If you want to use clip in belts then these Scroth harness plates are brilliant as they can be fitted behind the standard attachment. I use these on the tunnel and B post points on my Cerb. They are FIA approved and have had no comments form scrutineers.
