How are your rear lights held in ?

My rear lights are only held in by 3 screws each, there doesn't seem to be any selent round the edge.
And they are not very secure.

How are they suposed to be held in ?
Are the screws suposed to be there ?

It's a 1994 chimaera.

Ive just taken the lights out to reseal them, but they weren't sealed fro the inside ?

Never mind they will be when they go back in .
