Evening.

I'm upgrading the lights in my griffith and have ordered new light pods which take the Tuscan light units but sit them behind the plexiglass covers. So far so good.

Does anyone know the specs of the Tuscan lights? Diameter, depth etc so I can look at options to upgrade to HID projector units? I'll need to go with one set as side and dipped and one for mains iyswim??

I might even upset the purists and fit either angel rings or Devils...

Thanks much.

Dave,
The Tuscan lights...are Hella units 90mm projector, dip beam part no: 1LL008193117.

Still available direct from Hella at about £67 with adjusters.

Have a read of the LED headlight thread in the Chim forum. The latest gen of bulbs are significantly better than regular bulbs, appear to not fall foul of HID MOT requirements and draw less power / put less load on the 'economic' TVR wiring looms.

Yes, the LED replacements look extremely good. Had a quick gander at the space available behind the dip beam units and wonder if there is sufficint space. Also have a concern with heat? They are available in H7 fitment.

Would be interested if anyone does fit the LED jobbies. Having said that, just putting the replacement lamp in on my car, has improved the output. I have a Tusc' S so the main beam is HID....which is good - certainly for a car with the Tuscan's preformance.

How does that work?

Normally you'd have a HID low beam and conventional high beam due to the delay in the light coming on and the fact HID's fail after a number of activations, not hours use.

Only ask as I've found a set of S lights for sale.
