I am looking to use either of the above companies to carry out a major service on my 2000 Chimeara.
Any views would be greatly appreciated before i make the decision who to use!!

Regards.

I've found Offords to be very good. Helpful, polite, they seem to know what they're doing, they collect and deliver or you can have a loaner SAAB. Can't knock them, really. I've never used the other place, so can't comment.

I'd say give Joospeed a shout - he aint too far up from Leics... well worth it...

I would definitely use Offords. Most of the Cambridgeshire TVRCC use Simon and his team at Offord. They are genuine, only charge for what they have to do and their rates are less than half that of a dealer... They have always done right by me..

I have used Autotune and always found Mervin to be very good, kmows his stuff and loves the cars. The other option is Joospeed in Chesterfield, who will be seeing my car very soon! (when I phone them and book it in anyway!)

Personally use Offord (the Cerbs in there for new cams & clutch as I type) but from the look of these comments, all three mentioned will see you right. The loaner Saab is a bit of a laugh, don't expect anything flash, usually bit tatty but who cares, its an A to B if you don't have another car to use (or don't want to add mileage to your own car).

anyone know the prices for autotunes services?

Wols' first service in my ownership was at Autotune. Very hard to find (apparently they've now moved), service carried out to my satisfaction, and they also cured much of his oil usage up to that time. Car came back washed as well, even though he didn't need it.

Joolz now looks after him, but that's not to say I've fallen out with Autotune. More that Joolz is a top bloke.

Nano2nd, - i was quoted in region of 400 quid he wasn't 100% sure as wasn't in the office at the time, this was for a 24k service at Autotune on my Chimaera so similar prices to Offord.
