have been looking into getting one for a while, there are so many on the market. I have come down on 2 the new road angel or origin B2 has any one had experience with them.. good or bad.

Are there any other good ones out there??

I've had an origin b2 for over a year now, and have not been a scamera van victim yet.

It's a great bit of kit, but finding a location for it was a pain.

Just brought a New Road Angle for the Mini, took ages searching for satellites (heated front screen) wasn't that impressed. I was picking up more Gatso's that it was!
So, I got an arial for it at the weekend and it now seems to be performing well.

Works in the Chim without any problems and without the arial. Flying lead is a bit of a PITA as ciggy lighter is in the door, so feet wrap in wire getting in and out!

My RoadAngel came supplied with a long lead and a short 'telephone flex' type jobbie. I just set the RA up over the instrument cowl, plug the flexy lead into the *cigar* lighter socket and wedge the middle part of the lead into the right hand edge of the dash - works perfectly (no loose wires to get in the way) and the flexystretchability (new word) of the lead means that I don't need to unplug if I need to open the door - parfait (as they say in Japan)

Had the original blue-i and moved to the new RoadAngel so I could switch it bewteen cars easier.

As Big Al has said heated screens can be a pain (as they are for all GPS devices) as well as interference from the wiring loom on some older TVRs (my S warned me permanently about laser signals until resolved).

The B2 and Snooper unit are also well liked, have a good look around them if you get a chance and pick based on usability and features.

The tried and tested Mark 1 Eyeball works quite well too..... I bought a RoadAngel II for the Wife as she collects points like they're going out of fashion - and thus far it hasn't once warned me about a camera before I'd already seen it..... I found the same with Origins and the earlier RAs. Nothing quite beats keeping your eyes peeled.

Must agree as except for a mobile laser I've always been aware enough when driving the TVR to spot them.

In the everyday car however, driving somewhere new after a long day with kids screaming in the back they are a god-send though, especially when some of the cameras on the way back from Devon over the weekend were hidden behind stone walls.

I've got the old Road Angel and a Bel Euro - never use the RA when driving in areas I know, as I know where the fixed scameras are, but tend to use it if venturing into unknown lands, esp for Truvelo and SPECS.

As the government now want to outlaw radar detectors, it looks like my Bel Euro will become illegal, but what about your guys with Road Angel II's, which have the laser detection capability built in? Your device will be half legal and half illegal
