It's so the owners can see how much better the new models are than the Chimaera/Griffith - you'll be wanting to part exchange instead of collect after the service. (Not that the Chimaera/Griffith are bad guys .... YKWIM!).

I'm probably going to switch to Silverstone for my car's fettling ... half as far away as the dealer I bought from/using at the moment.

Normally you just call your insurance company and tell them you need temporary cover on a garage's courtesy car while yours is in for service. I’m with Privilege and I’ve never had any problems doing this. Normally it’s free, although they once charged a whole £7.35 for 2 days cover on a Tuscan S. Your own car remains fully insured at the same time.

The promotional price is 650 notes for a 12000 mile service? What's it normally? I knew TVRs were expensive to run, but I didn't realise just how expensive!

Just had a fun two days driving around in a Halcyon Midas T350t while BlueBoy was being fettled at Silverstone. Great fun, and given how much I love the V8, I was pleasantly surprised by the Speed6 engine, and definitely impressed with the handling.

They are a friendly bunch there, too, kept me in the loop and seem to have done a good job. I didn't mention the rattle in the driver's door as I just wanted to get the service and a couple of extras done, but it wasn't there as I drive home...is this what you meant by the "little extras the customers will appreciate", Matt??
