Perhaps they should spend less time making generalisations about a passionate bunch of undeniable petrolheads and spend more time actually writing decent articles about cars, rather than seemingly using the magazine as a ruse to pay for their projects.
They sound a little bitter that TVR owners are frequently out enjoying their vehicles, as opposed to what they can do with their unfinished (usually dull) projects.
I stopped reading it years ago, got fed up with reading patronising how-to articles on how to run mapped ignition on some small engined car that'll always be slow. If you're going to do it, you research properly for your specific application.
2 hours spent on 'Readers Car's' here is far more interesting than 80% of PPC's content.

I've often looked at that magazine on the shelf, and often thought 'that article might be interesting...'
I certainly shall not even bother looking in the future.
The smug, narrow minded arrogance of the pinhead that wrote that is incredible.
The short sighted editor that would allow that sort of bigoted bulls
t into 'his/her' magazine is even more stunning.
Perhaps for them it is 'normal', but now I will never know.

Two sides to every coin,
I see no mention of the article later on in that issue regarding the bargain that are TVR "wedges" or indeed the coverage of the rally de jonquilles a couple of issues ago featuring a PH'er Cerbera all of which were very positive.
Over the issues there are some serious contributions from the likes of Dave Walker & many others to balance the "Top Gear" tomfoolery of articles like the "Top 10"
Is there a perfect automotive magazine that doesn't offend/annoy anyone for whatever reason ?

No but its a bit like Retro Ford magazine laying into Mustang drivers. It just doesn't make sense to offend a portion of car enthusiasts which are likely to be in the same demographic as the readership and likely to be part of it.

Unfortunately there is a very small minority of TVR owners who fit the description in the article. I know you can say this about afew marques and their owners but with TVR and our loud and shouter cars in some cases its true

Of course, it might just be be something to provoke reactions and gain some publicity for a failing magazine. Any publicity is good publicity, as they say.
They might have a point on the flip paint though, it was cool for about 5 mins in 2001

While I have not read the said offending article I would like to say I have had many a dealing with Dave walker he has set up a good few engines for me and his services are top class and so is his knowledge of tuning etc and also a really nice bloke !!!! My boys and I have had several cars in the mag and found the editorial team again good to deal with this was some time ago perhaps it's changed ??? Richard
