I looked the Leven jobies and while expensive when finished they will last forever. What they do is recolour yours (whichever colour you like) and then infill with resin or something so that it never goes manky again.
Also enquired t the TVR stand when at Coombe the other week and they mentioned something like 16 quid for a bog stanard TVR issue but strongly pointed me towards Leven as they will last longer.

Schazzar, we've been down the gold/silver badges route at length already. Its horses for courses. IMO Gold badges look better on my car than silver ones would. Can't see anything tacky about. Just personal choice and no, I do not have gold jewellery that Frank Butcher would be proud of.

Yeah you're right. In all honesty it is about horses for courses and what looks good![]()
I have seen the Leven badges.
They take your old badge (if not too badly dented or damaged) then remove all the crud. They then repair any minor surface damage, then re-chrome and polish them.
The TVR 'stripes' are then painted in a suitable colour black / blue etc (special colours are available to special order I believe), then the protective resin is applied to protect the badge. The badges are then polished again and returned.
I have seen the badges before they are sent off and when the come back, to think that you can produce the same results on your kitchen table with a pot of 'hobby shop resin' would be a mistake.
Your car ultimately costs many, many thousands of pounds and the badge in my opinion is the focal point of any attention (as well as the exhaust note!).
Quibbling about the difference of a few quid compared to the quality of having the job done properly in my humble opinion, I would rather not have the job done at all.
The only downer about the whole affair is getting the original badge off the car in the first place, talk about fibreglass rash on the old forearms trying to get the front ones off my Wedge.
Mike
ps. The gold ones do look good in my opinion as long as the car is a suitable colour (mica blue / green) and any other stripes or badges are in the same colour.
